As the business had evolved greatly over the past few years, the new leadership team recognised the need to more accurately and authentically represent the current company and and their ambitions for the future. Liven Creative were tasked with transforming MK Facades’ brand so it was fit for purpose.
Through a series of immersive discovery workshops, Liven Creative developed a deep understanding of the building envelope industry as well as MK Facades’ customers, competitors, and target audiences. Thorough analysis provided a foundation for the brand strategy and uncovered insights that would help MK Facades to develop a unique positioning in the market.
The outcome of the strategic work was a clear and concise articulation of the brand’s core tenets including: vision, values, positioning and proposition statements alongside a suite of key benefit-led messages targeted to their specific audiences. We also distilled their value proposition into the strapline, ‘Engineered without compromise.’ This focuses on the design, supply and installation of beautifully engineered facades – as well as underlining the brand’s continual commitment to improving the performance, visual aesthetic and safety of the built environment for the benefit of stakeholder communities.
With consensus around the brand strategy in place, work started on the development of a new visual identity. An abstracted M was designed to symbolise the different sizes, shapes and functions of the buildings MK Facades engineer. To complement the logo, a distinctive colour palette and library of patterns were created to deliver a memorable and dynamic visual personality.
With the brand and visual identity approved, Liven Creative designed and built a new website – with an easy-to-use CMS so the client could handle post-launch updates in-house – as well as full communications toolkit including sales presentation, stationery suite, vehicle livery, signage and branded merchandise.
